About this piece

The textured hoop was inspired by the surface of driftwood.

Driftwood feels almost like a reflection of life itself. Over time, it travels through many places, meeting water, wind, rocks, and shorelines. It is shaped through contact, pressure, and time, losing what no longer needs to remain, while the strongest and most honest parts of itself are slowly revealed.
